Smile! It’s year-end giving…

Dear Friends,

The Friends of the Trotter School wants to send our happiest holiday wishes to you. It is because of the generous outpouring of support from our community that our new non-profit organization is off the ground. We held our first event last month, and the strong turnout was like a holiday present in itself. Thank you again for being a part of this kick-off through your attendance and donations.

As you are considering your year-end giving, we ask that you continue your support of the Trotter School. The School is giving the very best education to its students every day. The teachers are digging deep and the talented administrators know how to stretch a dollar. But the school is growing (adding a full middle school by the end of next year), and the challenges facing our learners remain. It is with these deserving kids in mind I’m sharing a few ways you could help fulfill wishes at the Trotter School:

  • We are seeking local companies and organizations to sponsor a Journey of Learning. Funding a particular grade level’s journey is a great way for your company or organization to show how much it values experiential education. A $1,000 sponsorship pays for field trips and culminating projects, essential to the learning experience. Could your company sponsor one? Email friendsoftrotterschool@gmail.com to get started.
  • Support reading at the Trotter library: purchase a book from the Trotter library wish list and set imaginations in motion. http://amzn.to/1OQCrm9
  • Shopping via Amazon? Choose the Friends of the Trotter School as your Amazon Smile charity and 0.5% of every purchase will go directly to the Friends of the Trotter School. https://smile.amazon.com/ch/46-3768128
  • And of course you can make a good old-fashioned end-of-year gift to the Friends of the Trotter, either online or with a check. Details on our support page.

I hope that your holiday season is full of wishes granted. Thank you so much for your support of the Trotter School.

With holiday cheer,

Jenna Leschuk, on behalf of the all-volunteer Friends of the Trotter School board
